TIPS FOR MAKING BEST CARROT HALWA To make gajar halwa , it is important to buy tender and juicy carrots  so that they are easy to grate. Some arm work is needed to make this halwa as you have to first grate the carrots and then slow cook them in stovetop and keep on stirring them on regular intervals. You can grate the carrots manually or in a food processor . obviously, the food processor makes grating the carrots easier. I suggest using a heavy iron kadai to make the halwa. INGREDIENTS OF RAJMA CHAWAL 4 Servings 1 cup red kidney beans 1 cup rice 2 large onion 1 tablespoon garlic 1 teaspoon ginger 2 chopped green chilli 1 tablespoon coriander powder 1 tablespoon cumin powder 1 tablespoon powdered black pepper salt as required 1 cinnamon stick 1 tablespoon garam masala powder 2 green cardamom 1 black cardamom 2 clove 1 tablespoon black pepper 3 tablespoon mustard oil 1 tablespoon ghee 2 large tomato  HOW TO MAKE RAJMA CHAWAL Step 1  / 4 Wash the rajma and allow it to soak in water overnight. This pasta recipe is made in Indian style using spices & herbs used in Indian cooking . But it is made in onion tomato base just like any other pasta. I have shared the basic masala pasta recipe here along with some tips. You can tweak the recipe easily to suit your taste buds. This recipe is vegan and however you can also make it with butter for added flavor. Pasta,  SANDWICHES ,  NOODLES  &  BURGER  are much loved by my kids. The Ingredients We Need Rice  – a good quality aged basmati rice. Chicken  – Chicken cut into medium sized pieces. The chicken thighs and / or chicken drumsticks makes a good choice. Either of the one or a mix of both meat works beautifully. Further, avoid using lot of chicken breast pieces in biryanis. Since, the chicken breast pieces in biryani turns out bit dry, it is better to use them in less amount. Or if you wish to, just skip using them. Basic spice powders  – red chili powder (or smoked paprika), coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala powder, salt.
